MOVING BETWEEN     site specific participatory "monochrome" performance      Studio 1469, Washington, DC

Moving Between re-contextualized the alley between Harvard Street and Columbia Road leading to Studio 1469 as a meditation zone; a threshold offering an adjustment period for visitors to transition after their commute, and before entering our exhibition, Electronic Meditations. From 15th Street to the entrance of the exhibition at 1469 Harvard Street, visitors were invited to participate in a performance action modeled after a walking meditation. On the press release, visitors were invited to dress in a monochromatic ensemble to help form the visual component of the work. They were given instructions and a matching umbrella upon arrival.
