JJohn Cage Memorial Park & Chance House Artist Residency

Dedicated in 2012 in commemoration of John Cage's 100th birthday, John Cage Memorial Park is situated 1/4 mile from the Chesapeake Bay on 4 1/2 acres of pine forest in the fishing village of Chance, Maryland.  The property is a place for artists to develop new work in the solitude of this remote location with Cage's avant-garde spirit of experimentation in mind.  The residency is open to all media.  Past residents include: Clark Stoeckley, David Linton, Raphaele Shirley, Claire Elizabeth Barratt, David First  Heather Harvey, Tom BoramJason WillettJulie Wills & Emily Bivens, Chris Lynn and Panoply Performance Laboratory.
